• Students who are employed full-time will are not eligible. Employed students, on the other hand, who take a leave of absence for the duration of the course and enroll as full-time students will be eligible for scholarships.
• Students enrolled in part-time classes will be ineligible.
• The benefits of the scholarship scheme will be available to all children of the same parents/guardians.
• Under this arrangement, a scholarship recipient will not be eligible for any other scholarship or stipend.
• Candidates who are studying in the same stage of education in various subjects after passing one stage of education, such as B. Com after B.A., or M.A. in one subject after M.A. in another topic, will not be eligible.
• Applicants that continue their professional studies in a different line after completing their educational career in one, such as LLB. After B.T./B.Ed., you won’t be able to apply.
• Students enrolled in post-graduate medical programs will be eligible if they are not permitted to practice during their studies.
• Candidates who enroll in any recognized professional or technical Certificate/Diploma/Degree Course after failing or passing undergraduate/graduate/post-graduate examinations in Arts/Science/Commerce will be offered scholarships if otherwise eligible.
• Candidates who are enrolled in correspondence courses are also considered. Distance and ongoing education are included under the phrase correspondence course.

Meghalaya Scholarship 2024 Selection Criteria

The selection criteria for Meghalaya Scholarship 2024 are based on the following criteria:

• Scholarships shall be awarded to all qualifying Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Minorities candidates, depending on the application of the Means Test specified in the Regulation.
• Applicants from one state who are studying in another state will be given scholarships by their home state and will submit their applications to the state’s appropriate authorities. They will be considered as though they were studying in their state in terms of fee exemptions and other privileges.

Scholarship Reward

• The scholarship money will be paid to the selected participants by the Government of the State/Union Territory Administration to which they belong, following their procedures.
• Maintenance charges are due from April 1st or the month of admission, whichever comes first, to the month in which the examinations are completed at the end of the academic year including maintenance during holidays.
• If a prior year’s scholarship is renewed, maintenance expenses will be charged from the month succeeding the month in which the previous year’s scholarship was paid.
• If the student receives some remuneration during the internship period or some allowance/stipend during the practical training in other courses, scholarships will not be awarded for the duration of internship/horsemanship in the M.B.B.S. courses or practical training in other courses.

• Applicant’s passport-size photograph with the student’s signature on it.
• An affidavit on non-judicial stamp paper signed by the self-employed parents or guardians, stating definite income from all sources.
• Original Scheduled Tribe certificate duly signed by an authorized Revenue Officer not lower than the rank of Tehsildar.
• If the applicant had received a scholarship under this plan in the previous year, a receipt in acknowledgment of the scholarship is required.
